Publishing rules

In order to be able to submit articles to the journal and to check the current status of the submission, you must login to the website as a registered user.

3. REQUIREMENTS TO THE TITLE OF THE ARTICLE

    • The volume – up to 10 words
    • No abbreviations
    • Strict correspondence to the content of the article

4. REQUIREMENTS TO THE UKRAINIAN AND RUSSIAN ABSTRACTS

    • The volume – at least 235 words, up to 250 words
    • No abbreviations understandable only from the context of the article

5. REQUIREMENTS TO THE KEYWORDS

    • The volume – up to 10 words
    • No abbreviations understandable only from the context of the article
    • The nominal case used only
    • Separation with commas

6. REQUIREMENTS TO THE FIGURES

  • Before the figure there should be the reference to it in the text in the following form: fig. 1, fig. 2-4, fig. 5
  • The figures must be in JPG format
  • The caption to the figure should be in the following form: “Fig. 1. The name of the figure”
  • If the figure contains an interdependency or a graph, all signs, including the coordinate axis, must be interpreted in the caption to the figure.
  • If the figure contains subfigures (a, b, c), there should be an explanation to each of them
  • The captions to the figures should be in the format of Times New Roman 14
  • The captions to the figures should NOT be of bold or italic type
  • The captions to the figures must have the same style
  • Warning! The printed version of the journal is colored; the colors of the figures must be meaningful

7. REQUIREMENTS TO THE TABLES

  • The head of the table should not contain empty cells
  • If the table breaks to several pages, there is no need to duplicate the caption!
  • All tables should be arranged vertically

8. REQUIREMENTS TO THE FORMULAS

  • Formulas must be typed in the formula editor MathType
  • In the text the references to the formulas have the following form: (1), (2-4)
  • The formulas must be numbered
  • The numbering is aligned to the right
  • The formula is a part of the text; therefore, after the formula, there must be a notional sign: if a new sentence begins – then the dot; if there is some explanation – then coma.

9. REQUIREMENTS TO THE REFERENCES TO LITERARY SOURCES IN THE TEXT

  • References to literary sources should have the following form: [1], [2 – 6]
  • References should be arranged in the same order as they are mentioned in the article
  • In the text there must be references to all the literary sources mentioned in the section References

10. REQUIREMENTS TO THE LIST OF LITERARY SOURCES IN THE SECTION REFERENCES

  • Literary sources are arranged according to the State Standard of Ukraine (DSTU) 8302:2015
  • The way of arrangement of a reference to a literary source located on the OJS platform (see the link)
  • There should be at least 10 sources
  • The list of references should contain at least 6 references to foreign literary sources
  • In the list of references, it is unacceptable to use any government or nationwide standards
  • The percentage of self-quotation should be not more than 30% (that is, if there are 10 references, there may be not more than 3 of them to your own works)

11. REQUIREMENTS TO THE ENGLISH ABSTRACT

  • The volume – from 100 to 250 words
  • Information value (should not contain general words)
  • Originality (not a calque from the Russian abstract)
  • Content (reflects the main idea of the article and research results)
  • Structuring (the logic of the results description in the article)

12. REQUIREMENTS TO THE REFERENCES IN ENGLISH

  • References, written in the language of the article, should be translated into English

III. SUBMISSION OF THE ARTICLE TO THE EDITION

You can submit the article to the edition in the following ways:

It is important that your manuscript has been formatted (arranged according to the formal characteristics and requirements) for the journal, the requirements for the authors as for the manuscript arrangement can be found on the website of the journal.

This will speed up the process of the article reviewing, as the editorial board will not need to send the manuscript back to you for re-formatting. It can also raise the chances of your article acceptance, as you will not miss the materials needed for publication in the journal, and the editors will see you as a high-level professional.

TIP: Before writing a draft of your article, read the requirements of the journal where you are going to submit the article to. This will save you a lot of time, because you will not have to re-format the completed work in accordance with the requirements of the journal.

Before submitting the manuscript, make sure that:

  • You have met all the journal requirements as for the number of words and characters
  • You have provided all the necessary sections in your article,
  • Your article has no problems with grammar and punctuation,
  • You have provided all the contact information requested,
  • All figures and tables are in proper quality, and located in the appropriate place,
  • All figures are presented in the required image resolution,
  • You use the correct format for references,
  • You have considered all conflicts of interest,
  • The consent of all the co-authors is received.

IV. REVIEWING *

The reviewing period is from 1 week to 2 months

  1. Once you submit the article, it will be sent for the review. Our editorial board is practicing double-blind reviewing*. The review procedure includes checking for plagiarism, verifying compliance of the title of the article with the content, checking the content of the article
  2. Get an answer from reviewers. If there are any corrections, it is necessary to consider them and send the article back by e-mail
  3. If there are no corrections or some corrections are made by reviewers, the article is submitted for editing.

V. EDITING **

The editing period is from 1 week to 2 months

  1. After the review, the article is sent for editing ** The procedure of editing includes checking the article on the formal characteristics and the compliance with the layout requirements.
  2. Get an answer from the editors of the journal. If there are any corrections, then it is necessary to consider them and send the article back by e-mail
  3. If there are no corrections or some corrections are made by the editor, you will need to prepare a package of documents.

VI. PACKAGE OF DOCUMENTS TO ARTICLE

  • One printed copy of the article (signed on the back side of the last sheet by all authors)
  • A review from a reviewer who conducts researches in the specialty, and during the past three years has published at least one publication in the editions included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine or in foreign publications included in the Web of Science Core Collection and / or Scopus, or has a monograph or sections in monographs published by international publishing offices of the “A”, “B” or “C” category according to the classification of the Research School for Socio-Economic and Natural Sciences of the Environment (SENSE). The review must have a seal that certifies the signature of the reviewer.
  • License Agreement. The signature of the author (s) must be sealed by the human resources department of the institution, where the author (s) work (s), or by the faculty. The sample is attached (download the sample). For the authors, who are not the Ukrainian citizens, a license agreement is required, the form is given below. VIII. RECEIVING OF THE JOURNAL

  • The publication of the journal is reported on the main page of the journal’s website
  • The authors, residing in Kyiv, receive their copy of the journal at the editorial office
  • The authors from other cities are sent the journal to the address, indicated in the application, by “Nova Poshta”
  • The electronic version of the journal can be found in the archive of our website

REGULATIONS ON COPYRIGHT

The authors, who publish in this journal, agree to the following terms:

  1. The authors reserve the right on authorship of their work, and transfer the right of the first publication of this work to the journal, that allows others to freely distribute the published work with a mandatory reference to the authors of the original work and the first publication of the work in this journal.
  2. Authors have the right to make separate additional deals of the non-exclusive distribution of the work in the same form as it was published by this journal (for example, to post the work in the digital warehouse of an institution or to publish it as a part of a monograph), provided that the reference to the first publication of the work in this journal is indicated.

REGULATIONS ON CONFIDENTIALITY

The editorial board of the journal is paying careful attention to the preservation of confidentiality of all the information submitted and not published yet.

The basic principles that our editorial board is driven by:

  • All reviewers confirm the confidentiality of the information they work with before the article is published.
  • If the reviewer needs assistance or advice from experts of another subject area, then reviewers report to the editorial board and receive permission for consultation.
  • Information submitted by the authors to the editorial office is not forwarded to third parties.

All contact information (phones and addresses) provided by the authors to the editorial office is used only at the editorial office, and is not forwarded to third parties.
